Digging into his personal nostalgia -- he was a kid raised on the movies of Steven Spielberg, and by now the tale of how teenage Abrams repaired three of Spielberg's early 8 mm films really is one of the best stories out of Hollywood in ages -- the man who rebooted Star Trek and gave us Felicity Porter might just land the best film of the summer (though X-Men: First Class is excellent).
